The MikroTik hEX S is a five-port Gigabit Ethernet router designed for locations where wireless connectivity is not required. This compact desktop unit is a suitable choice for managing wired networks in home offices, small businesses, and labs. Equipped with a dual-core 880 MHz CPU and 256 MB of RAM, the hEX S can handle advanced RouterOS configurations. The device includes a 1.25G SFP port for fibre optic connections and supports IPsec hardware encryption (~470 Mbps) to secure your network traffic without a significant performance penalty. For added utility, port 5 provides PoE output, allowing you to power another PoE-capable device. The router also features a microSD slot for expanded file storage and a full-size USB 2.0 port.
